Militants, yes, but not military or militarized. There's a difference.
So the decendents and students of this generation are now militants?
Nope, I never saw that coming.
In that vein: I just read a short essay by Charles Dumas, one of the original Columbia U. militants who is a a "lifetime" activist and professor emeritus. He fondly reminisced over his campus protest participation in 1968. He mentioned that the two prime organizers were the Student Afro Society (SAS) and Students for a Democratic Society (SDS); the latter spawned the Weather Underground, which received funding and guidance from the Soviet KGB's Department of Disinformation.
Different time, different concerns, same foreign funding schemes.
Also, note in the old photo the neatly printed signs carried by union people.
Same sort of astroturf printed signs we see today.
Yes!
But, don't make our MAGA signs cannon fodder in the tit for cash culture war. We wave our purchased printed signs, too.
But the perverse generation exists, comrades, attacking any comrade wanting to reestablish the existence of fixed boundaries within the institutions of Church and Family. Who knew Fraternity Guys could save America?
