It's not a dream. It's something Trump has openly stated. And I'd like to remind you that after Zelensky met with Trump, before the election, he came out all smiles. I'm merely pointing out what has occurred. What it ends up meaning is anyone's guess but Zelensky being encouraged, after meeting with Trump, suggests to me that Putin will not be happy with the negotiations. Take it how you will.Dream on.You're forgetting, or simply are unaware, that Trump has already stated that if Putin refuses to negotiate a just peace, he will arm Ukraine to the teeth so they can destroy the Russian armed forces. Ukrainian forces are not as depleted as you imagine.
I too was encouraged by that meeting in which Trump stated that Zelensky and his country have been through Hell. I was also encouraged by Trump's interview with Dave Ramsey (American personal finance guru and great guy, don't know if he's known Down Under) in which Trump clearly understands economics more than his former rival. No surprises there. I don't know what the outcome for Ukraine will be, but some recent reporting indicates that Putin plans to proceed with the war, possibly because he's already killed too many of his own men to turn back.
